Small and very stylish in its simplicity. The back wall of the restaurant consists of old doors, black and white photos of Lisbon adorn the walls. The cutlery is on paper napkins, but it works perfectly. Authentic. We were early and the first guests of the evening. The look at the map was the first surprise of the evening. The prices for main courses are all below the 10 euro limit. The most expensive – and quite fine – red wine “Papa Figos” costs 13.80 euros. And then there should also be an art gallery here? However, one by one …

The food at the Quermesse …

… is not only cheap, but really delicious! I ordered the undisputed pleasure highlight of the evening: the stewed pork cheeks with lime risotto (9.50 Euro). Before I took the spinach soup (2.50 euros). Everything was delicious. The portions are thick enough and in terms of value for money a punch.

The art gallery – an ingenious concept

When the 2 partners realized their dream of owning their own restaurant half a year ago, it was clear that art should play an important role here. A staircase in the restaurant leads to a large, bright room, which the two restaurant operators provide to young and unknown artists free of charge as a Gallery.

Conclusion and details about Quermesse!

The small restaurant in Rua da Glória is still a real insider tip. Still! On Tripadviser, the good reviews are gathering, and it is only a matter of time until the cross-fair is an integral part of the upscale culinary diversity of Lisbon. So go!
At noon, the restaurant is always very well filled. During this time can be paid only with cash. The daily menus cost between 7 and 8 euros. If you want to go to the Quermesse for Dinner at the weekend, you should definitely book a table. During the week there is still no reservation. Evenings can be paid by card (Multibanco).
